A healthy wine to drink depends on the brand you buy, and the quality of wine you consume. So, what is the perfect healthy red wine you will enjoy drinking? The two known types of wine are Red and White Wine. Red wine is obtained by fermenting both the pulp of red or black grapes and the grape skin. The grape skin is responsible for the red colour. However, according to many Wine Stewards, “not all reds are created equal” since different grapes contain different nutrients and various wines are prepared in different ways.
Production of White wine involves pressing of crushed grapes to release juice. They differ with the Red wine because in white wine, the skins are removed and play no further role, but red wine uses the skin and that is where Resveratrol is found, in the skin, therefore Red wine is a much healthier wine to consume. Due to different qualities of red wines produced because of different production methods, we consulted few Wine Stewards to determine the healthiest Red wine.
The healthfulness of Red wine is largely determined by the presence of antioxidants. Resveratrol is a
polyphonic bioflavonoid antioxidant that’s present in some plants, foods and drinks that are known to contain health benefits. Some sources of
resveratrol include the red grapes and red wine. Resveratrol enhanced wines contain a lot of benefits like possession of anti-ageing properties, lowering risk of cancer, protecting cardiovascular health, helping in protecting the brain and mental health, assisting in weight loss, among many other benefits.
Wine doctor naturally contains up to 100 times more of the powerful antioxidant resveratrol than is found in any other wine around the world.
